According to RealtyTrac’s latest foreclosure report for the first quarter of 2009, foreclosures in Madison County have seen a dramatic increase when compared to the same quarter of 2008. Since our last area foreclosure update Alabama and Mississippi once again ranked among states with the fewest foreclosures ranked 39th and 43rd respectively by a recent RealtyTrac report. Surrounding southeastern states didn’t fare as well: Florida ranked 4th, Georgia 8th, and Tennessee 18th.
