Tax time is upon us, and thus we have yet another year of saved documents to trash.
@Homes Realty Group is having a Shred Event! Clients past and present are invited to stop by our @Homes office Saturday, April 11 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. to drop off paper documents or credit cards you’d like to have securely shredded. Simply stop by with your bagged documents at 100 Providence Main Street NW with our Secure Destruction Services shred vendor truck. You’ll find us in the parking lot near the entrance. All of your documents will be securely shredded on the spot. We are all about making your lives easier…and we’d love to say hi!
According to the Social Security Administration, Identity theft remains one of the fastest-growing crimes in America. Rocket City residents understand the importance of cyber security and making sure our online identity remains safe and secure, however it’s easy to overlook the analog avenues criminals may use to take advantage of you. Paper can still be dangerous to leave in your trash cans! Don’t let your inundated records and tax documents gather dust or worse–end up sitting by the street. Instead, simply drop off your important documents at our @Homes Shred Event.
What happens to the documents?
The shredding: SDS takes every precaution necessary that your documents remain secure until completely destroyed. When you drop your paper into the shred bin, it is directly dumped into the mobile paper shredder. After shredding the paper, SDS works closely with a local recycle center to insure that the shredded waste paper is pulped at a mill in the United States. The majority of paper ends up at a pulp mill in TN or GA and is NEVER sent overseas or used as packing material, filler, mulch, or confetti. Currently, SDS recycles approximately 70 tons of paper per month.
