@Homes Realty Group would like to pay a salute to all who are currently serving or have served for our country. Thank you for your courage, patriotism, honor and for our freedom. November 11th is a day of remembrance and thank you’s for all that have given so selflessly. Thank you!
Armistice Day, as it was known 95 years ago, set aside one special day a year to remember the fallen heroes of our country, as well as those who still serve. Today we know November 11th as Veterans Day.
Veterans Day is focused both on current service members as well as those veterans of our past. On this day we encourage you to make your gratitude known to veterans. Women and men alike have served during war and in peacetime keeping ready at all times to honorably defend their home and country. Today we honor those 23.2 million military veterans in the United States, without whom this nation of freedom would not be possible.
In 1919, President Woodrow Wilson proclaimed November 11 as the commemoration of Armistice Day, with the following words: ‘To us in America, the reflections of Armistice Day will be filled with solemn pride in the heroism of those who died in the country’s service and with gratitude for the victory, both because of the thing from which it has freed us and because of the opportunity it has given America to show her sympathy with peace and justice in the councils of the nations…”
The observance of Veterans Day should focus attention on the important purpose of Veterans Day: A celebration to honor America’s veterans for their patriotism, love of country, and willingness to serve and sacrifice for the common good.
We would like to give a special Thank YOU to our own veterans here at the office, Nick T Pappas, U.S. Marine Corps, and Gary SanSoucie, U.S. Air Force. and to all of our clients that are currently serving or have served. We appreciate your service!
