Kristin King is native Texan who has fallen in love with North Alabama and is proud to now call Huntsville her home. After spending five years living in Wiesbaden,Germany working for the US Army, the King family picked Huntsville out of every city in the country for its beauty, friendliness, great schools, and overall quality of life.
Before falling in love with Real Estate and becoming a REALTOR, Kristin spent the first part of her career as an communications and marketing executive for Mays Business School at Texas A&M University, the George and Barbara Bush Foundation and the US Army 2nd Signal Brigade. As a real estate professional and service-focused leader, Kristin strives to put people first in every transaction, every time, and takes pride in her ability to navigate the complex challenges of the ever changing market.
Her husband Will is an Army vet and is continuing his service as a goverment civilian working for the Army Materiel Command. Outside of the office, Kristin enjoys scouring flea markets for antiques and adventuring with her husband Will, her children Colleen and Aaron, and their three precious dogs.

What do you most enjoy about your work?
I love the opportunity I have to participate in connecting a person with the best possible real estate experience. So many times I pick up the phone and think, “I’m SO GLAD you called us!” and I MEAN IT.
What attracted you to the industry?
I like all of the things Realtors aren’t supposed to like – contracts, data, negotiations, surprises… I love dealing with the unexpected AND turning it into a positive for someone else.
In your opinion, what is the ONE most important quality a client should look for in a Realtor?
Honesty. Anyone can tell you what you want to hear. A realtor that tells you what you NEED to hear is someone who is looking out for YOUR interests, not their own.
What are the most popular amenities buyers are currently seeking in a home?
Right now I feel like buyers are wanting all of the amenities (granite counters, hardwood floors, tile in bath, media stations) that they’re seeing in new construction, but they’re rejecting the cookie cutter feel of those planned subdivisions. I think this could provide a unique opportunity to those in older homes if they’re willing and able to do some updates.
Favorite Southern style meal or dish to make?
I love a traditional southern chocolate cake (yellow cake with chocolate icing, and like 10 small layers)
Favorite Huntsville activity and best kept secret “must go to?”
We have a GREAT arts community here, go see a play, take in a concert, go to an art exhibit – you’ll be amazed at the talent we have locally!
