Location / Demographics
Meridianville Alabama is located in a huge and beautiful valley near the foothills of the Cumberland Mountains about 10 miles north of Huntsville’s city limits. Here, in this picturesque valley where Indians once shot arrows, this small exurb (extra-urban) community thrives.
Unlike the neighboring communities of Hazel Green and New Market, Meridianville’s proximity to Hwy US231 /US431 along with Hwy 255 makes this bedroom community an easy 15-25 minute commute to Redstone Arsenal’s Gate 9. Thus this historically rural farm area has now become home for many high tech commuters employed throughout the Huntsville Metro Area. In 2007 the community was estimated to have a population of 4,633 residents with a median household income of $63,620.
