I know for many this is an old topic that has been thoroughly debated on local forums, voted on by the Huntsville Area Association of Realtors® (HAAR), and seemingly put to rest.
However from time to time we still receive some pretty wordy emails, suggesting what snakes we are for withholding this information from public display. I won’t go into the details of the various correspondence, other than to say it gets pretty nasty from time to time, and can’t be publicly displayed on a Rated G website such as ours.
But here’s the honest to goodness answer: The Huntsville Area Association of Realtors® has developed and approved a set of MLS rules that prohibit us from displaying property addresses and other specific property details to the the general public.
These bylaws place the responsibility of providing customer and client information upon your Realtor® of choice. Yes we do automate this information online for all of our customers and clients, however we are still prohibited from displaying this information to the general public.
So this post is for all the newcomers to the Huntsville Real Estate market, who might think we are snakes in the grass and attempting to hoodwink consumers into some hard sell campaign of ours. Nothing could be further from the truth, we don’t even do email newsletters and actually prefer our customers to come to us vs hunting them out. We hate junk mail as much as you likely do, that’s for sure!
In other words, while we do actively market our services, we do no email or other form of direct prospecting for customers and clients. Moreover business is good and we are perfectly content not to have to prospect for customers to make a living. This is our blessing really and we are especially grateful to all of our customers and clients who have contacted us and utilized our services. In the process of providing our professional services we have also made many, hopefully life long, family friends. …Thanks to you all!
