If you’ve been actively searching Huntsville Real Estate listings on our site over the last week, you have likely noticed some work going on within the search engine menus and their resulting performance.
We have been meaning to get to this for some time and have finally cleaned up the various public interfaces to include an enhanced auto-complete function.
The auto complete function now brings up and narrows applicable choices as each character is typed. You can use your mouse cursor and thumb wheel control to navigate and select your entry of choice. On most of the form entries you can also ‘click, hold, and release’ to bring up options prior to typing any letter or number.
Additional effort was also expended updating our search engine database, which now utilizes a MySql InnoDB storage engine that is designed for maximum performance when processing large data volumes. Its CPU efficiency is probably not matched by any other disk-based relational database engine. Thus you will likely see much better performance on your complex search results.
