Throughout the national housing crisis <strong>Huntsville Home Prices<\/strong> have remained basically flat and we have not experienced the major price declines that some overheated markets across the country have. However we also did not experience the same acceleration\u00a0of prices as the housing bubble reached its peak. This is a testimony to the educational level and just plain common sense of our local community.<\/p>\n<h3>Tax-Credits\u00a0Skew Local Median Home Price<\/h3>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-8883\" style=\"border:solid 5px #ccc; -moz-border-radius:5px; -webkit-border-radius:5px\" title=\"medianHomePrices\" src=\"\/\/athomeshuntsville.com\/realestate\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/01\/medianHomePrices.jpg\" alt=\"medianHomePrices\" width=\"125\" height=\"125\" srcset=\"https:\/\/athomeshuntsville.com\/realestate\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/01\/medianHomePrices.jpg 200w, https:\/\/athomeshuntsville.com\/realestate\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/01\/medianHomePrices-150x150.jpg 150w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 125px) 100vw, 125px\" \/>Don&#8217;t be fooled by the widely published media spin that local home prices have\u00a0risen\u00a0during 2010,\u00a0especially\u00a0if you are a current buyer or seller in the market. Both 2009 and 2010 were Tax-Credit years, however there is a huge difference between them. The Tax-Credit of 2009 was for <strong>First Time Home Buyers Only<\/strong> and the next year opened qualification to\u00a0<strong>All Home Owners<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>While I remain a\u00a0skeptic that the Tax-Credits actually\u00a0expanded\u00a0the number of home buyers in the market,\u00a0\u00a0it seems clear that at a minimum it\u00a0accelerated personal plans that were already in place.
