Shadow Wood – Isolated, Brand New and Truly Gorgeous Homes in SE Huntsville<\/h3>\n

No longer may I make fun of other Realtors who are\/were unaware of our Weatherly Heights neighborhood in Southeast Huntsville!\u00a0 We’ve lived here nearly 10 years and I just recently discovered a neighborhood that is less than a 1\/4 mile south of my home (as the crow flies).\u00a0 How did I not know this was here?\u00a0 Just goes to show you that, yet again, I have become that which I made fun of.<\/p>\n

How To Get There:\u00a0 Turn right onto Todd Mill just west of Weatherly Elementary and the YMCA.\u00a0 Follow the road around the school, over the river and through the woods… oh, no wait.\u00a0 That’s another thing.\u00a0 Follow the road around the school and turn right onto Shades Road.\u00a0 As you climb the hill you’ll notice that most of the houses surrounding Shadow Wood are much like mine… older ranch style homes on beautiful lots.

But, drive further and you’ll see newer construction.\u00a0 Homes built in the mid-90’s and selling in the mid-200’s.\u00a0 Farther still you’ll discover some even newer homes on Kodiak<\/strong>, Covington<\/strong>, Shadow Wood<\/strong>, and Windy Wood<\/strong>, some of which have been built in the past 5-10 years and would sell anywhere from $300,000-$500,000.\u00a0 Right now there are two brand new homes on the Kodiak cul-de-sac, both are pushing 4000sf and BOTH are priced at about $380,000.\u00a0 Gorgeous homes literally YARDS from my front door that I never even knew they existed!!<\/p>\n

I’ve toured both and I was impressed by both. Two different builders.\u00a0 Two very similar floorplans.\u00a0 Both builders went with a Craftsman style and both chose to install gas stoves.\u00a0 That’s a rare thing for Huntsville Real Estate<\/strong>.\u00a0 Both homes offer finished daylight basements<\/strong> that are set up to accommodate either teens or in-laws.\u00a0 And both basements boast a 2nd kitchen.<\/p>\n
