Every city has its less fortunate families that have suffered hardship, either through the loss of a job or a physical set back of some sort.<\/p>\n
With the hectic lifestyles we live today, it is easy to be in our daily routine without a thought of those hurting and in need. Huntsville<\/strong>, like every other city, also has the homeless community that needs a helping hand and even more so since the Tornado’s of April 2011.<\/p>\n Fortunately, there is a wonderful group of people who volunteer their time and energy to make Manna House<\/strong> the success it is today. Grocery stores, restaurants, and various other companies in the city make donations, on a daily or weekly basis.<\/p>\n Manna House opens its doors three times a week, Monday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings around the 5:00 o’clock hour, depending on the weather and season. When the doors are open, anyone is welcome to walk through the line and select fresh produce of fruits and vegetables, can goods, and even desserts that are available for that day.<\/p>\n Individual donations of furniture, appliances, clothing and other household items are given out as they are received. As a request is made for a particular item, it is given. Manna House<\/strong> is helping to feed and cloth many of our city’s homeless and those who are experiencing difficult times. To be a volunteer, just show up. It is rewarding to be the hand extended to those who need a meal or a warm pair of socks.<\/p>\n This non-profit organization has grown tremendously in the past few years. The manna that fell in the wilderness, seems to be falling on Huntsville in the form of volunteers and donations that bless our community. Huntsville is truly a city made up of people who seem to be blessed by blessing others. Manna House is an outreach with a heart!<\/p>\n Huntsville <\/strong>prospers in so many areas. Redstone Arsenal houses the military and NASA, the many University’s in the city provide professors and educators, this “Hi-tech” city brings in many large corporations that provide an overwhelming job force and we enjoy a thriving Huntsville\/Madison real estate market. We have so much to be thankful for, maybe that’s why we give back to our community. Isn’t it great to be called a Huntsville-ian.<\/p>\nThe Manna House Can Help<\/h3>\n
