The first 2 quarters of 2011 found us all busy bringing on new listings and finding the perfect homes for many of you. The market seems to be stabilizing and absorbing some of the ugliness that we have seen for the past few years. Interest rates have remained at all time lows and housing prices couldn\u2019t be better for savvy buyers. I\u2019ve seen an uptick in all price ranges<\/strong>, especially the hardest hit upper end. I feel it\u2019s a positive sign and have \u201chopes\u201d that we will soon be recovering from a few years of ugly!<\/p>\n Brac Relocations<\/p>\n<\/div>\n Yes, BRAC is wrapping up<\/strong> this year and we have certainly noticed a surge in buyers directly related. However much of our activity has also been from local residents who have decided to take advantage of a good market. (Moderated pricing and interest rates). While our move up buyers of recent years aren\u2019t typically selling for a profit, they are gaining on the purchasing end overall.<\/p>\n Hubby has been very busy on the website side of the business, our traffic has more than doubled<\/strong> over last year with a consistent average of 45k – 50k unique visits a month. Several of you have contacted us with requested improvements and we have responded to many of them.<\/p>\n We added a technology partner with Savvy & Company of Charlotte NC and launched one of their new websites: Homes for Sale in Charlotte NC<\/a>. Hubby has now product-ized our technology suite (along with his proprietary SEO addon) into easily deploy-able templates and has used it to upgrade (long overdue) our very first local website: Northern Alabama Homes<\/a>.<\/p>\n Much more to come on the technology front<\/strong>, look for our web presence to extend into Birmingham, Nashville, and New Orleans over the coming year.<\/p>\n April 27 was a day most of us will soon never forget<\/strong>. While it destroyed portions of our community, it also brought it together. I have never seen such an outpouring of love in a community, ever. While volunteering, I would hear over and over from Red Cross and FEMA volunteers that Huntsville was special…that we really DO care about each other. I know it\u2019s true. Through this horrible tragedy, I have been fortunate enough to meet many wonderful victims that are counting their blessings and seeing the positive. I just pray that if I ever have to endure what all of these amazing people have, that I can be as strong and gracious as they are.<\/p>\n In the mean time, lets not forget that we still have a community that needs to be put back together. Most volunteers have had to go back to work, leaving many areas still in serious need of help. If you do have the time and resources, I hope you\u2019ll consider volunteering or donating<\/strong> in any way that you can. I know @ Homes Realty Group will be there alongside everyone, until we see our community whole once again.<\/p>\n While growing our Boutique business has caused me to scratch my head at times, overall it has been a wonderful experience. We\u2019ve had our fair share of bumps along the way…I think it\u2019s fair to say growing pains are to be expected if one is to succeed.<\/p>\n We are happy and excited to announce that we will be expanding very soon<\/strong>! Our new location <\/strong>has been selected and the architect is finalizing our plans now. We\u2019ll announce the new location when we are a bit closer. We are projecting to be about 120 days away from the big move. We wanted more space to not only grow our business with more quality agents<\/strong>, but also to have a place to gather with our friends and clients. Our culture is relationships and we will continue to build on that.
