While Breland Homes may not be the savior of Lake Forest, their new presence and current ongoing construction within this, recently struggling, Huntsville neighborhood is at a minimum a Huge Help!

Lake Forest is an ongoing business concern that was likely, motivated by an early BRAC 2005 announcement and its subsequent US Army move to Huntsville, that is now winding to a completion. Lake Forest is thus, an ambitious undertaking of a large Upscale Community positioned at the most convenient entrance to Redstone Arsenal. With 100’s of lots and pricing well over $1 Million on the top end, the endevor was very ambitious especially considering, now in hindsight, the timing of its launch was just months before the onset of the National Housing Crisis.

Often times the entrance of a big-box builder into a very-upscale neighborhood is considered a death-nail to home prices within a given development. However in this case the planning, timing, and the selection of Breland Homes may likely have the opposite effect. There are several factors that bring me to this conclusion:

• Only Signature Series home-plans will be built (Top of Breland’s Portfolio)
• Lot selection is spread throughout other builder plans mixing elevations
• Breland is no run-of-the-mill box-builder – high quality top-notch amenities
• Home value and resale proposition is at the heart of Breland’s strategy
