Welcome to 2012
Welcome to the generation of change and instability. Welcome to the future!
I grew up around business-minded people. The people that took quarterly earnings charts, compared them with upcoming product lines, and projected sales patterns for the upcoming fiscal year. I grew up around big square footage, big cars, and big payments. I grew up with neighbors that never came over, Halloween candy that had to be picked through for suspicious morsels, and doors that had to be locked. I grew up in a generation waist-deep in isolation and fear.
Real Estate Relationships
But this kind of isolation did not make us happier. Living in fear did nothing to give us security. We were missing something—something so essential and basic that it was easily overlooked. We were missing relationships. We were missing deep, meaningful relationships.
I imagine that you’re probably reading this thinking, “Isn’t this supposed to be a be a Huntsville Real Estate blog?” …then …“Why are we talking about relationships?” …To this, I respond very bluntly:
The Real Estate Business is all about Relationships!
- What if, when you were looking to buy or sell your house, you could deal with a company that you knew would be looking out for your best interests?
- What if you knew, beyond the shadow of a doubt, that you were not merely a commission check at the end of a few hours of paperwork and riding around in a car?
- Would your home search be a bit easier?
- Would leaving your keys in someone else’s hands be a bit less nerve racking?

Building relationships and trust are key components of the home buying process. Buyers are spending a lot of money and need to ensure their best interests are looked after, ALWAYS.
You are right – the “relationship” is the key ingredient to a successful business relationship whether it’s real estate, banking or anything else you decide to buy.
Bravo, Sis! I love this post… poignant, yet powerful and certainly true to who you are. You give amazing customer service because you treat others as you wish to be treated–yet another standard learned during our childhoods that MUST not be forgotten in our business. I wish you much success in 2012! Your agents and your customers are SO very lucky to work with you each day.
