A few weekends ago, I was jogging one morning on the Indian Creek Greenway, one of my favorite things to do. While adapting to the very cold temperature, both inside and outside of my body, I was very aware of the overpowering effects of winter. All of the trees are bare and brown. The sound of rushing water from the stream running through the Greenway was extremely obvious. A place that is usually full of people had only a handful of us on the path. I could not help but feel the loneliness of this picture.
Then, my thoughts turned to Springtime. What a different place this is when trees are budding, the temperature is pleasant, little critters are running about, birds are singing and all things in the world couldn’t be better at that very moment. Though we usually only have a few weeks to enjoy the Spring, it is my favorite time of year. After this very cold winter season is over and all life comes out of hibernation, the newness of Springtime gives one the feeling of living to the fullest.
The same cycle of seasons can also apply to Huntsville’s Real Estate Market. Neighborhoods in the winter season may not have the same appeal as is the Springtime. It seems Buyers and Sellers tend to hibernate in winter, as Elizabeth’s recent market post shows. But, with the incentive for First Time Buyers and the step-up incentive for Current Homeowners, it’s time to come out of hibernation. Given these tax incentives, this is a wonderful time to put your home on the market to sell or to start the process of buying a home.
Let’s jump start the Springtime season. A Realtor can provide Buyers and Sellers with statistics and good information about Huntsville”s Real Estate Market. Since each neighborhood sets the worth of a home, with a Comparative Market Analysis (CMA) in hand, a Seller can make an informed decision in pricing his house to sell quickly. Likewise, the same information is available to Buyers to make an acceptable offer on a home.
Being a Realtor is very rewarding. Helping clients find a new home or working with clients to sell their home is what I love to do. If you’re in the Huntsville/Madison area, take advantage of the tax credits that are available. If you have any questions, call me (256-479-9337) or email with any of your real estate needs.
Remember, Springtime is just around the corner!
