I’m college student, and with that badge comes some level of stereotype to my eating habits.

It’s a stereotype because, well, it’s faster.

Taco Bell has 89cent burritos. Did you know this? Or an entire pizza at Little Caesars is $5? Heck, a whole pack of crazy bread (I’m sure meant for a family of four) is about $2. My dentist practically screams in horror every six months.

Who could blame me for suffocating my liver with fat as I skimp together rent and a meal?

I could really use some level of detox. Help me. Please.

The most obvious answer is that I need to feed my family. And, yeah, sure, they like to eat, so I guess that’s true. But the real answer? The answer that is 100% honest? Is that EarthFare has THE COOLEST gourmet stuff that I want to try, but my husband would divorce me if I used our grocery budget buying some salted caramel truffels or some Perfect Pair Chocolate Cabernet dipping sauce. So really? I want a card to fund our next girls’ night out. 🙂

My wife and I found out last night that we are expecting our fourth child – so any way to get some free groceries is welcome 🙂 We have a family of very healthy eaters but we are trying to expand our use of organic foods. We are bringing up our children to make healthy decisions for eating, and especially to see how choosing organic products is better for the environment.

Our second child has a severe peanut allergy, so we are already limited in our food choices, and this would be a good way to try out some products that are safe for him to eat.

For starters, my husband is diabetic & has high cholesterol. He is a Christian school teacher & I suppliment income by watching a young child in her home. My job is only during the school year, so it will be over for the summer this week. I think of very interesting ways to make our $ stretch through the summer; however, having a gift card to an awesome, healthy grocery store would help in both areas of health & finance.

I love that store we needed something like that here in Huntsville. I live on a farm in Ardmore and we have chickens and eat our own eggs and grow our own vegetables and I would like to get that $50.00 gift card.

We typically go to Publix, Costco, & Fresh Market, but we would love to give Earth Fare a try as well. $50 to sample a few products would be cool, even though we’ll stop by this weekend to check it out anyway. It’s great that Huntsville has another choice in eating HEALTHY. It’s been very, very difficult to overcome the traditional fried, fast-food or combination thereof choices that permeates our culture now. We started out about 3 years ago trying to make everyday choices that helped (even on a small scale) – more grilled foods (even invested in a Weber Genesis), using EVOO almost exclusively now, Splenda, much less HFCS and PHVO, more fruits, and overall healthier choices. The “Eat This and Not That”series was our first step, and since then we’ve progressed to the point where we are even trying to grow some of our own products. Our very own “Earth Fare” is a small garden in the back. This year we have about 8 dif’t vegetables growing and trying strawberries and an herb garden for the very first time. Maybe it’ll turn out alright ;^ )

Glad that Earth Fare choose Huntsville. Maybe the public will support this resource and a healthier lifestyle!

Playing around with a slogan

Do you have a favorite? — I could not decide

Earth Fare — Fair to the planet and your family!

I want to be an advertising exec when I grow up.
Oh that’s right I am grown up — Oh well 🙂 🙂 🙂

I have a horrible diet and therefore my son has a horrible diet. We eat out too much, we take home too often, and when we do fix food at home it’s often prepackaged. To be completely honest, Ramen is a primary food group in our household. We REALLY need a pantry makeover and a fresh start. This gift card could be the beginning of a beautiful friendship and whole new relationship with food for us.

I would like the $50 Earthfare card to be able to try out this new store. Right now I do a lot of couponing at Publix and am always looking for good deals. I have three kids and a very tight budget. My first child, who is a very picky eater, I like to get him the healthiest form of the things he eats. I also have a little girl who has colon issues who I like to try and keep regular. I know the more natural I go the better it goes for them. I would like to shop more organic and if this store is as reasonable as they say, who knows, maybe if I like it I might become a new customer!!!

I don’t deserve the free gift certificate, but I would like to buy one and I don’t see where I can buy it on the website. This would be the perfect Christmas gift for my brother and his wife; however, I have to purchase it over the internet and have it mailed to him because I’m in afghanistan. If this is possible, please email me and let me know.
thanks

ben
