Why didn’t I think of this sooner?
Huntsville Alabama is growing rapidly, and I am continually working with relocating families. As most Realtors know, working with Relocation Clients can be very rewarding, and typically also very time consuming.
Don’t get me wrong, I love working with and assisting those dealing with relocation issues. My own family has relocated several times over the years, and I know the stress and strain involved in exploring a new area, city, schools, and neighborhoods.
The Huntsville Sprawl
The Huntsville area has the definite “sprawl” and I can easily drive clients around for hours and hours and not see all sides of town. To show a client even just one home in each area can take all day. Literally. This does not include our initial meeting at the office, our tour of Huntsville, lunch, etc.
Moreover add to this the possibility of exploring surrounding communities within commuting distance, and we are really talking about several days. I kept thinking, surely there must be a better way for all involved. Then the light came on a few weeks ago and now the puzzle is solved!
High Tech to the Rescue
I have now bought a couple of extra Garmin GPS’ for my clients to use while they are in town! Genius eh? 
Why didn’t I think of this sooner? After a few test drives of the service, I can honestly say my clients are always thrilled when after our meet-up and Huntsville tour, I give them a GPS preloaded with addresses of ALL the homes they want to drive-by for a look see. I have also loaded all of my favorite Restaurants and points of interest I think they would enjoy seeing.
This has really been a time saver for me as well as my clients, as they are really enjoying the freedom of getting to know Huntsville at their own pace. By the time they have spent a day or two comfortably driving around, they have a much better idea of which side of town they may want to call home, which homes and neighborhoods that most interest them, and then from there: it’s off we go on a detailed showing tour!
Just why didn’t I think of this sooner? It’s the best few hundred dollars I’ve spent all year!
