We have recently wrapped up a series of website enhancements to provide a more thoroughly integrated neighborhood blog and home search experience.
For example when you have preformed a home search within an MLS Area or particular zip code, or whatever in each of the search result summaries you will find a link that will allow you to instantly filter your search to a specific neighborhood. This functionality also exists on each detailed listing page allowing you to transform a wide area or specific MLS number search into neighborhood browsing with a single click using the new ‘View All Neighborhood Homes’ link.
One of the strengths of our website is our growing inventory of informative articles on neighborhoods throughout the North Alabama Area and we are publishing new neighborhood articles on almost a weekly basis. Not only are recent blog articles navigable from the side bar of the property search engine, but you will now also find neighborhood specific posts linked on many of our detailed listing pages.
With so many of our users being from out of town and considering relocating to the Huntsville area, we thought it would be useful if applicable neighborhood articles were linked within the listings themselves. For example, if you are viewing a detailed home listing that happens to reside in Huntsville’s Lake Forest Neighborhood then you will see a link entitled ‘More About Lake Forest’ that will take you to the applicable neighborhood article. When we don’t have an article applicable to the listing this link is not present.
Also based on requests from several regular users, we have added temporal capabilities within the Property Search Engine itself. When you perform any search utilizing any of the main search forms, you will now have an option to sort the results by the newest listing to oldest and from within any search result page you can re-sort using this temporal parameter.
If you are a regular user this option will place all of the new listings meeting your exact parameters in the front of your search results. But why should you be interested in the oldest listings? Well remember, the longer a home is on the market, the more likely it is that you’ll find a motivated seller, so be sure to browse the oldest listings as well and also place a few of them on your drive-by or showing list.
